BigMood turns a feeling into a bold, full-screen emoji. Find a mood, choose a background, and share it with a little personality. No BigMood account is required.
Find and display a mood
Search from Home or choose Browse All. Select an available mood to open its display. When a mood has several emoji choices, swipe to explore them. Tap the display to toggle clean viewing, then tap again to bring the controls back.
Keep your Favorites close
Use the star on a mood display to add or remove that emoji from Favorites. Open Your Favorites on Home, or choose View All to see the full list. Favorites can retain the background captured when you saved them.
Most Used is built from your local emoji-use counts and appears on Home with a View All option. Favorites and Most Used are separate collections. Each list has a Clear All action with confirmation; clearing a collection cannot be undone in the app.
Make it your own
Open Settings to choose available background colors and patterns, adjust the emoji size, change Home tile appearance, or choose whether the app starts on Home or Favorites. A mood display also has a background picker. Some backgrounds require BigMood Pro.
Free and BigMood Pro
BigMood Free includes 30 moods and 9 backgrounds. BigMood Pro expands the collection to 85 moods and 35 backgrounds. Locked items are marked Pro. Captions, sharing, Favorites, and Most Used are available with accessible moods in Free.
BigMood Pro is planned as a one-time lifetime unlock, not a subscription. Apple purchases and production RevenueCat integration are planned for launch and are not currently available. When enabled, the purchase screen will show the localized price before you confirm with Apple. Do not treat a testing preview as a purchase.
Saved Pro items are kept if Pro access is unavailable, but access is restricted. A saved Pro background can temporarily display the Free default instead. Buying or restoring Pro does not create a backup of your local collections.
Share a little attitude
From a mood display, open Share. Send Emoji prepares the emoji as text. Send BigMood opens the optional caption interface: try Surprise Me or Another, write your own caption of up to 120 characters, or choose Just the Emoji.
Share with Caption prepares the image and opens the system sharing interface. You choose the destination and recipient. You can cancel without sending. Shared images include BigMood branding.
Restoring purchases when available
Apple purchase restoration is not currently available. The following steps describe the planned flow for eligible purchases after launch.
- Connect to the internet and check that Media & Purchases uses the Apple Account that made the purchase.
- Open BigMood Settings and choose Restore Purchases.
- Allow Apple and RevenueCat to check the purchase. A successful restoration enables eligible Pro access without buying it again.
If purchase services are disabled in your version, Restore may be unavailable. If a check fails, do not repeatedly buy Pro. Retry with a working connection or contact support. Restoration does not recover deleted Favorites, usage counts, or preferences. Family Sharing depends on the product’s Apple configuration and eligibility; it is not guaranteed in pre-release versions.
Basic troubleshooting
- Pro looks locked: check connectivity and use Restore for an existing purchase. If access remains unresolved, contact support rather than purchasing again.
- A background looks different: check your selected global background, the background saved with that item, and whether the background requires Pro.
- A saved collection does not load: use the app’s retry option if shown. Keep the app installed; deleting it can remove local records.
- Sharing does not open: return to the mood display and try again after the background has loaded. Check whether your chosen destination app is available. Never send private content solely to test sharing.
- The interface is unresponsive: close and reopen BigMood. Check for an available app update. Avoid deleting the app as a first troubleshooting step.
